Got a question for you guys. Where can I buy bulk steaks other than like a supermarket. Im thinking of 50-100 lbs worth of different steaks to put in my freezer. I know I could buy a cow and take it to the slaughter house but thats too much hassle. Any suggestions?

I get stuff in the mail from Omaha Steaks all the time. A bit pricey...but....
Have you ever investigated buffalo/bison? Great taste, better than beef, and even leaner with a great protein content. You can buy it/order it from Blackwing Meats. Great stuff.

Bison is a "sweeter" meat than beef. Very tasty, I love beef, but I normally always put some type of seasoning on it. On the bison, when I make patties for instance, I most of the time put nothing on them. You will find that for instance a 6 oz. pattie will cook up to almost 6 oz. too.
Just cook the bison just like you would beef, you can grill it, fry it, whatever. Higher protein value, less fat.

Look for a butcher shop. We have one here that always has a great price for large orders like that.

A note on cooking the buffalo, don't cook it for quite as long. Because it has quite a bit less marbling, it can dry out if cooked for too long. For steaks it is the best when still light/medium pink in the middle.
