Beginners' Training Plan

Hi all,

Sorry to have to ask but wondered if you would mind looking over my training plan to see if it is ok. I think it is as I have based it on three day a week training programs I have seen online but if you'd look over it and comment, I'd be grateful. I lift weights three times a week and do an aerobic workout twice a week with the weekend off to rest. My goal is to lose weight and improve my strength and fitness.

I do 3 sets of 8 - 10 reps for each of the following exercises. I train abs at the end with two or three exercises (usually machine crunches, hanging leg raises and twists, all two or three sets of 10-15 reps).

Monday.

Leg Press
Leg Ext
Leg Curl
Dips
Bench Press
Cable Crossover
Pull Ups (assisted)
Military Press
Seated Rows
Abs

Wednesday
Squat
Leg Extensions
Leg Curls
Calf Raises
Incline Bench
Pull ups (Assisted)
Upright Rows
Seated Rows
Dumbell Curls
Close Grip Bench Press
Abs

Friday

Deadlift
Leg Press
Bench Press
Dumbell Flyes
Lat Pulldowns
Seated Rows
Military Press
Reverse Curls
Tricep Pushdowns
Abs
