I am 43 now and fighting the belly bulge. I have always been shaped with all the right curves. Since my hysterectomy at 40 (still have ov) so no hormone pills. My tummy has bulged more. I hate it and am fighting it. I have started my diet and counting all the carb, cal, fat and protien. I am walking more and doing walk away the pounds tape. I started taking Hot Rox not sure it works yet. But for women over 40 and had a hysterectomy. You will need to get ahead of the belly bulge, cause it does come especially if your not ready. If anyone has more ideals on curving appetites and eating to speed up motabolism please let me know. Thanks

carlajo...I read your profile and let me first say I'm terribly sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter, I've heard nothing can compare to the loss of a child. I have three and couldn't imagine it. I hope at least having her child to carry on is of some comfort to you. To maintain and push on takes great strength, quite inspiring.
With that being said, lets do what you said, get you back on track. As I've mentioned in other posts, I personally don't have much faith in "fat burners", nothing can replace GOOD DIET and exercise. Get your diet in line, eat 4-6 smaller meals a day, that alone will speed up your metabolism. Go to the specific diet and nutrition forum and read and eat from the "grocery list for healthy eating", also read "diet thread", this will get your diet heading in the right direction. As far as exercise, you can customize one at this site if you like at the top of the page under "exercise program". I know you said your kinda short on free time, esecially with your little handful, but like I said, I have three young'uns myself, I found going to the YMCA helpful, at least here in my area, they watch your kids free of charge for 2 hours while you exercise, that might be an idea.
No matter what carlajo, everyone here, myself included, are behind you. Whenever you need a question answered, motivation, support, or just good conversation, feel free to speak up, everybody does. That's the great thing about this site. Always someone here.

Hi Carlajo

I have had 5 kids and of course the tummy came along with it..Iam 41 and have found that cutting out refined sugars and fat have helped alot..eating smaller meals helps alot too, because it keeps your metabolism burning all the time, plus it helps fight those cravings for sugar and fatty foods.

Fit in exercise whenever you can...I find myself doing leg lifts while watching tv!!every little bit helps...

Good luck!

Hi everyone I am 32 and I have a tummy on me. The thing is I have never had children. Sometimes my mother says hurtful things about my weight like "You look 7months pregnant." (That accually did happen when she and my dad with my grammy came to visit). How do you deal with the sometimes hurtful things that family and nonfamily members say?

Thanks,
Mel

Hi Mel, sometimes you just need to come right out and tell them, OUCH!!! Letting them know that it hurts when they say those things sometimes, makes a difference. Ask them to not say that stuff to you anymore and if they have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

BUT, most importantly, and I learned this the hard way..no one, absolutely no one can make you feel the way you do but yourself. You choose how much words impact your life.

Keep the chin up girl. :)

Raven makes a good point Mel. When it comes right down to it, you ultamately decide how you feel. I too learned this the hard way. Keep your head up, don't let others bring you down. Your better than that.
