Has anyone tried bellydancing? I've got a couple of exercise bellydancing tapes and am planning on doing the plan I got here 2 days a week and the tapes 1 day. Would I be wasting my time with the tapes? I don't want this hard body just to tone up and still keep some softness.

I do not see it being a waist of time. Belly dancing is a great ab workout as well, as cardio. I haven't done belly dancing myself, but have gotten interested in it while being here in Kuwait.

I am a bellydancer and it is excellent exercise! I just recently had a performance and you can really get a great cardio workout. You might want to first try renting a video to see if you like what it offers.

I took a class a couple of times and it was really fun! Now I'm wanting to take swing dancing but all I need is another hobby. LOL I say go for it, it will get you up and moving, and help w/ core strength.
