I was able to push my max bench up a bit by doing Skull crushers, close hand bench, and other arm type exercizes. My problem was that I had little stability on my bench, and my back was way stronger than my arms, finaly balancing that out. Think you need to find your limp-fac to improve your max.

Same with squats......heres my thing.....if you waan get better at somthing.....running, a paticul sport , benching , squating etc......the best way to get better at it......is to do that paticular thing, and different varations of it. Want your bench to get better, bench press, incline press, dumbell press, decline etc. Take out the flys and crap they don't help much in power, focaus on compound movments.
heres some cool excercises I liek to do to get a lift better.
for the bench press
incline bench
decline bench
dumbells bench
incline dumbell
decline dumbell
floor presses( with barbell or dumbells)
close grip bench press
bening with bands( incline or decline as well)
partial benching( incline decline)
speed benching
reverse grip bench
Pause and go bench ( dead weight bench)
All of these are just like bench press, except somthing is a lil different, or hits a different area. Some you do only last half the lift, other make you stop, then press it. All these help in the actual pressing motion.
for squat
box squats
below parallel squats ( in smith)
jumping squats( lighter than normal)
front squats
squats with bands
one legged squats
zecular squats
sumo squats
Limp fac? i'm curious to what that is too
