Just a question...
For the past 6 years of my life, I've been doing martial arts which is primarily plyometrics, heavy cardio, and strengh training (push ups, sit ups, chin ups, vertical push ups, etc) and just recently got into weight lifting. I'm 16, 5'2" , 140lbs. I set up my bench pressing station, added 110lbs to the barball, and I could press it comfortably doing 3 sets of 10. For someone who is 140lbs, pressing 110lbs...is this good? Rather...is this normal?

well, you're just starting out, like you said... when i started out, i was 5'6", 140lbs... i benched 145lbs but that went up to 205 within a two months period... so don't really bother worring about how much you can lift at this very moment, since you're just starting out... just get a nice L33T program and you should be seeing the results as you go along with it...

A'ight thats cool. Hey, if I stayed at 110 for awhile, how big would my chest get? Also, how long would it take for my pecs to get more dense and more solid?

that depends on your body type, diet, and how you train... you should keep putting on more weight on that bar so that you can actually improve... staying at 110 won't do you much good... of course, that doesn't meant that you'll be able to do a lot more weight within a couple of days... just keep working hard and you'll see better pecs and better max soon enough... good luck

If you have never done weight training before, that is certainly a good start. My first max a year and a half ago was 95 lol. That is a certainly a normal start, make sure it is a challenge though. If it seemed easy, put more weight on the bar and rep that. I'm about half a foot taller, but our weight is similar. While no one is exact I know, I was able to do about 165 in about 4 months. And now around 220 after 18 months. With ply's at Karate, you should get even more muscle growth.. just make sure and get plenty of rest.
