Guys, I've been doing the bend over barbell rows for a while now in the gym and I was wondering this, am I suppose to lift my back up a bit whie still having it flat on the floor? Reason as to why I am asking is because I don't feel the exercise is as effective if I leave my back parallel and stationed to the floor. So if anyone can help answer this it would be helpful, thanks guys!

No you shouldn't lift your back up, keep it parallel to the floor. For one your tring to isolate your upper lats. When you lift your back you are bringing your shoulders into it, and putting strain on the lower back.

But I would like to know if I don't raise my back and all I am using is my arms..wouldn't my arms get fatigued and tired since I seem to be working them?

I read an article from Dorian Yates on bent over rows. He said to put your body at a 70 degree angle, lock your hips and row up to the bottom of your rib cage. I do them that way and feel it more than any other way. :)
