Yesterday i went shopping at a local supermarket to try and find a cereal that looked like it would taste good and still be healthy. I ended up buying some brand i never heard before. For each serving it has 1g of fat 26g of carbs 6g of sugar 10g of fiber and 8g of protein. I recently been looking for a cereal because i am starting to get tired of the slimfast shakes in the morning. The shakes do taste great but i was looking for a cereal as a change of paste and with cereal i like to put bananas and blueberries in it. I wanted to know if anyone knew of any cereal to have that is good for you that has atleast 3-5g of fiber and not alot of sugar in it. Thanks
(I'm looking for something i could get at a supermarket not at a healthfood store)

I like Wheat Chex w/ almonds and dried cranberries in it. The Chex has 5 grams each of sugar, fiber, and protein. I also like Kashi GoLean Crunch (not the plain GoLean; it tastes like sawdust), the Kashi is high in the sugar dpt though, 13 grams. But it's great for sprinkling over cottage cheese or eating straight for a snack; it's a granola type cereal w/ a lot of protein.

Oatmeal is the best cereal to go with in my book, but because of my daughter complaining there was no cereal in the house for her to eat I went to walmart and found this bran, My husband even said it was good for her and she likes it. It is called GO LEAN by Kashi. They make a few different ones, check it out.

Does Frosted Flakes count?? Seriously I eat Optimum ceral. You can get it at the health food section at the supermarkets. It has two flavors I know of , the Optimum lean and Optimum with blueberries and I like it. I also vote for the oatmeal. Sometimes I fry the oatmeal with egg whites, ciniamon, vanilla and peanut butter for a hi protein and good carb boost in the am. This is good before a workout too. 5 egg whites and 1/3 cup of oatmeal, one tablespoon of real unsweetened peanut butter with the cinamom and vanilla. I got this recepie off the net. It looks and sounds crazy but really tastes good and keeps you full.

Kashi golean or Optimum. Optimum is not only high in protein but has flax too. Great taste to boot.
