I want to know if there are any tried and true excercises that any of you moms out there have done that really improve your problem areas...belly, hips, back, breasts, etc.

you cannot spot reduce. Cardio, weightlifting and a clean diet is the only way to get your body back in shape.

ok, so my message just got lost and it was long...I'll start over...
I understand that you need to be committed and active on all levels of fitness and nutrition to see results, and I am. What I was wondering was if there were certain excercises that should be done differently in order to affect a post baby body. For instance: I did old fashioned on the floor crunches, 4 sets, 20,15,12,10. I didn't really feel my abs contracting that hard and no pain from doing them the next day. So in this instance are cruches using a ball more effective, or a crunching machine... that was what I was trying to ask.

If you're finding your cruches too easy, then add some resistance. You can achieve this by holding some weight, doing them on a ball, doing them on a decline bench. You should also try doing a variety of ab work such as twist crunches, reverse crunches etc. Slorbets is absolutely right though, you have far more success if you encorporate a full body weightlifting routine with cardio and proper diet. Your ab work would just be part of the workout routine.
