okay so it's been really really hard for me to find a good whey protien powder. everything i try either tastes horrible or is not entirely soluble (the powder form little blobs). What is REALLY the BEST whey powder? any suggestions?

by the way, i usually just use a shaker cup to make my shakes

BSN lean dessert proteins are awesome in quality and taste. Cinnamon Roll and Banana Nut bread are great. Very cheap also.

I just got some ON's 100% Whey cookies and cream and it will take a little bit to get used to the tast. I was taking Perfect Whey and it was very good.

I used something from walmart, premium body force, or something like that. Tasted fine to me. Probably not as high quality as some of them, but it's only $11.00 for a big jug of it. It clumps if you don't use a shaker or wisk, but I use hot water, just a half cup or so, and that makes it dissolve, then I add milk.

Yeah, in a pinch and for cheap, this isn't bad. But if you are for instance lactose intolerant, you may have a bit of a problem with it. This is quite common with concentrates. (it does have a bit of isolate) If however you have no problems, it will suffice.

Biotest's grow protein is great tasting, but you have to order it, and it contains cassein. Not a bad thing at all, but it may not be what you are looking for, especially if you are looking a post workout shake.
Eclipse tastes ok too.
I've noticed that vanilla is usually the way to go. Just a preference, but I am yet to find a chocolate protein that tasted good. Also, vanilla and strawberry can be more easily mixed with other things.

im a big fan of the vanilla too.. mixed with maltodextrin and dextrose really brings out the flavor. i was impressed by the ON's chocolate powder.. but still doesnt compare up to a real milkshake :)

I think Syntrax Nectar protein is probably the best I've ever tasted, since I've got pretty sick of all the milkshake type protein drinks. I really like the Apple Ecstasy flavor, kind of like a sour apple drink. And it mixes really well in water, I usually mix 2-3 scoops with 16-20 oz water in a shaker cup and gererally don't get any clumps (even when I mix it with malto & dextrose). They have some other flavors also (I tried the strawberry kiwi, but didn't really like the aftertaste), so it might be best to try a sample pack of all the flavors before you buy a tub of one (since it is fairly expensive, 2lb = $25-30). It is 100% whey isolate, and only 90 calories with 0 carbs, 0 fat, & 23 g protein per scoop.
