I have noticed on several postings refer to bf%. Is there a way to calculate that, or is it only done by medical pro's?

You can buy calipers or you can go somewhere and have it measured or you can use online calculators.

Online calculators are very inaccurate. They are all different as well. You can go to several sites with "online calculators" and they will give u different BMR's, and body fat %.
So much relies on your body frame, which is why probably one of the best ways to find out your bf% is with calipers. They also have a body fat scale, which sends electrical impulses into your feet, but that is inaccurate too depending on how well you are hydrated at the time.
Calipers are really the best. U can get a nice pair online at bodytrends.com. The digital set is nice. 50 bucks.

Here is a website you can use that will give you a rough estimate with the tape measure.

For calipers 7 site is more accurate than 3 site.

Hangclaw, if you belong to a gym, they have the calipurs and will measure you.

Sorry for the double post.... You can also purchase a bf scale. They are very simple to use.
