This thread was a good read from top to bottom. I don't remember learning anything in it really but that may be from all the drama and laughter that ensued. I'm carrying this baby into 09!

""i was talking about the fact that my weight is tiny for my height numb nuts..."
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I couldn't care less about how your biceps look relative to your frame! My post was done in humor about myself and the number of responses to the originators thread. If you have some sort of imagination you would visualize something that is pretty much impossible unless one was a cartoon character. Second get a sense of humor. That being said, I don't appreciate someone on here referring to me as "numb nuts". Taking the piss out of people who are going out of their way to try and help us is not realy on, is it, we are all here for basically the same thing, so a bit of respect to these guys and galls who are imparting their knowledge on us mere mortals is in order don't you think, i know you are young and impetuous but give these guys a break, we will all benifit in the long run.
That done, keep training and keep making progress, good luck. |

Im a med student so would like to say a number of things:
1.AGE:a 18 or 16 or 20 year old should not compare size with someones 'husband' who is probably 30+ with years of exercise. In General, young people have alot of thyroxin, naturally they cannot gain weight.thats why teenagers are mostly thin.Ofcourse there are some exceptions. As we grow onlder 'thyroxin' secretions decrease exponentially and by the time we are 25+ we have already gained alot of weight(Offcourse genetics play part, some people are fat by birth).ALSO TESTOSTERONE SECRETION increases exponentially after 20 reaching a peak at 29 years of age.SO if you are a 16 year old and 6 feet tall and weigh 225 pound ...even if you are not fat and have (by scientific miracle) pure muscles ..by the time you are 30 are gonna be obese man unless you seriously pay attention to your fitness. 2.Bone Girth:when we exercise not only our muscles become bigger, bones become harder and increase in girth.(OK it doesnt affect by an inch but it does matter) 3.Type of muscles:Our body has different types of muscles.those who work longterm and continuously and those who work temporarily and a special kind 'pink muscles' who work both ways.MOST OF EXERCISES aim at the 2nd kind which only provide a short BURST of contraction.Someone who can curl 20 KG cannot keep it at that for more than a minute.SO many people naturally dont have big size even though they can curl alot cuz they are working a single type of mucsle only. |

Dang, ya I'm close to 14 or 15. I am pretty darn fit, I just don't have enormous arms. But then again I'm a pretty small guy - 5'8 160lbs...I'm actually pretty glad though because I'm just as strong as my friends, but they weigh 25 lbs more than me.

I'm six feet, 210 pounds
I turn 18 in 2 weeks I have 17.5 inch biceps 34-inch waist Not quite sure how big my chest is, but it's somewhere in the low 40s last time I measured 20-something inch legs and no idea about my shoulders My max bench is.... 225, might be higher now. Haven't been able to try maxing out in a while. Not horrible, but not great. It would be higher, but I'm still rehabbing a shoulder injury and I have to be careful when it comes to maxing out on the bench :P I know I'm going to catch hell for this one because of the 15 year old from earlier, but my max for bicep curls is probably close to 150 by now. I can do 4 reps with 135 at the moment, so if it's not there yet, it's getting there. It's not like I just started last week, either. I have been lifting since I was 14, and lifting on a regular basis since I was 16. I know 225 is a sad bench press number for a person who's been working out that long, but I keep hurting my wrists and shoulders playing various sports, or tripping and falling (I'm a bit of a klutz...) so that's set me back a bit. I mostly do tricep work as of late lol I'm no body-builder or anything :P I've still got a bit of fat on me, but I'm working on toning up lol Nice to meet you all |

My height is 5feet 11 inches but weighing only 57 kg, age 22 years and biceps only 11", can go for any kind of food.I am a good athlete, played cricket and football from college team, good at running. I am totally fit but unable to increase my weight. -------------- Deepak Bisht |
