No, you are just much more of a man than him. It is clear that this person does not even deserve to be in the same gym as you. Let me ask you something, why are you so concerned with how much someone is lifting? Perhaps if you did not spend your workouts watching how much others lift, you could be just as big and well defined.-------------- You can cover up the flaws on your body, but there is no hiding a flawed personality. |

Bodybuilding is about stimulating the maximum amount of muscle tissue to induce growth, not about setting strength records. Chances are that guy is a more efficient lifter and has a better diet than you.-------------- OSU Law Rugby....specializing in personal injury and pain & suffering. | |

That really is a ridiculous observation. How do you really know? Did you watch his entire workout? More importantly, do you know his goals, his plans, where he is in a given cycle? Let's say that you can bench 300lbs. Hooray for you. Now, let's say that the "big guy" was only benching 225. Does that mean that you are stronger? Was he at the beginning or the end of his workout? I will often postpone benches until the end of my chest workout and do drop sets with lighter weights and no rest between sets. If some knucklehead were to look over as I was in the middle of a set they may very well conclude, incorrectly, that I cannot bench very much. How many reps was he doing? What about rest between sets? You just don't know from a glance across the gym. Unless, of course, you were just staring at the guy. If that's the case you're lucky he didn't think you were coming on to him. When you stop and think about it, if you were that impressed with the look he has attained perhaps you should lower your own weights and try to emulate his workout. Maybe you can achieve similar results.

Simply put, bodybuilders go through phases. In a mass phase that same guy may have been pressing many times what you do. Now he's probably in a cutting phase and is just repping to exhaustion. Or as mentioned many times you may need to take the weight down and clean up your form. I wasn't there, so the only obvious thing is you find this guy physically fit.-------------- Seeking out motivation does not motivate you to seek out results. - Paul Post mark - PaulsMark - Post mark |

Charlie,
Could you send that one off to your code breakers? Daniel |

The crypto machine blew on that one. Paramedics are on the way for two of my best codebreakers. Automatic fire extinguishers are running and we have a big mess here.
