OK I really bombed the diet thing this weekend. It was a vacation weekend and I really blew it. I have been seeing a nutritionist for about 5 weeks now and this is the first time I have really messed up. I feel really guilty about the whole ordeal, but I was wondering if any one thought that it may be a good idea to go all out for one weekend and eat whatever comes to mind for just one weekend every 3 months. The reason for me asking is that I quickly remembered the whole reason why I was trying to get healthy!! The food tasted great, but the after effects were pure misery. I am talking about eating pizza, ice cream, popcorn with butter at the movies....fat, fat, fat, fat!!!

I actually did the same thing this weekend. Went to visit some relatives at their trailer and spent half the time there pigging out on junk food (Chips & Barbacued EVERYTHING)... Just have to watch it the next time...

If you really pig out one weekend out of a month you will gain weight, mostly fat. I would recommend eating well all the time, BUT have a little something fatty or bad every once in a while. Just increasing your calories a little bit. This way our matabolism can catch up. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend pigging out unless you like love handles.

I hate when I do that. Its easy to be disciplined on during the week. Take your lunch to work and that's it. The weekend is like open season on all food. That's why I'm glad I found this site. I know that I am not alone.

Good luck!

I think I tend to eat whatever I want on weekends or just mostly Saturdays.

I've read on a fitness site about giving yourself a Cheat day once during the week, but be good the other days.

Your welcome. I think food was made so everyone should enjoy it. Remember the old saying of too much of a good thing is bad. Moderation is the key. Plus if you eat about 4-6 meals that are of equal nutritional value, this should help curb your cravings too.
