Hello everyone! Let me see..... Where to start.
I am 32 years old, three boys 14, 13, and 11. I am happily married and I live in East Texas.
I had always been a tiny person, up untill the past 4 years. I began putting on weight and getting very ill. I had a hysterectomy March 2001 and Gall bladder surgery Feb 2002. I am also have Hypo Thyroid.

WWelcome billiegal. There is no better time to start taking care of yourself. You will be amazed at the motivation you will get from this site.
With good regular exercize and good food you will do well.

I had a friend go thru similar things but she did not have the inspiration you have on doing something about it...so hats off to you girl!

Hi Billiegail,

Been there done that. You can do it. Weight training changed my life. I cant tell you how much better I feel. Its been over two years since I made the committment to do something about my poor health. I did it slow and for me...but ultimately it benefitted all involved. :) Sometimes, I messed up...but I did better the next day and then it became a life style. Im not finished but Im close ;) Good luck and everyone here seems to be so helpful and encouraging. See ya in the forums.

Welcome billiegail...you have made a wise decision. Sounds like your personal life is in order, and now with your decision for better health it will improve all aspects of it. Any questions you have, this is a community of people always willing to listen and help, and no matter what your degree of fitness, there will be someone to help you. As all before me said, welcome to FT, and feel at "home".
