Supplements can be a great aid with your health and fitness goals. Combined with the proper exercise and nutritional plan they can be quite effective.

About 1 wk ago I started taking an array of supplements. Creatine 1 pill before and after I worked out, glutamine, the same. In addition, I was taking HMB, with meals and 2 amino acids a day and zinc and magnesium before I went to bed. Anyways, my stomach has been killing me, full of gas and feels bloated. Due to this I have basically quite taking all of the supplements except for the creatine and glutamine. Is this a common reaction to these supplements? Should I continue to stop taking the supplements or will my stomach get used to it?

From what I've heard certain Supps can cause that effect when you just start using them and after a week or 2 your body should adjust. It's best to ease into anything slowly though, start with Creatine and then just slowly add one a week. If you get the bloated feeling then you'll know which one is causing it and if it doesn't go away after a while then you know whether you need to try another brand or learn to live with it.

I had this problem when taking an ON meal replacement supplement. I gave up on it. It was a miserable feeling. I have not had this problem with creatine, glutamine, ZMA, or whey protein.
