change is what makes us keep growing and when i start ws4sb i will be changing max lifts every 3, 4 weeks depending, sometimes 5 for totally new things. I was just wondering how much the body can tell the difference between say flat, incline, and board presses. I no they are all different and stress different muscles in different ways but they are still the same base movement. If this is enough of a change so that you dont plateu could there be a case that just taking a wider grip could count as a different excercise or lowering the bar a different way- bodybuilding/powerlifting with pauses ect. Would this be enough difference for body to pick up on to keep progressing??

Yes, changing your grip can be considered am alternative lift. So can board presses. Using bands or chains, pulling from deficit or pins and changing your stance also works. There is a sticky and the top of the board that list a boat load of variation for bench and squat.
