I've been working out for about 8 weeks now with varying degrees of success. I did alot of wrong things including starvation, lack of sleep, etc etc etc. But Im on track and know I won't quit untill I reach my goals.

Anyways, found a fantastic website http://www.bodychangers.com
and was told about the Body-For-Life program.

I went out purchased the books and read the plan. Not a whole lot different from what I already knew about nutrition (but have yet to apply) but the exersice routine seems to be
similar to that of HIIT. Is this a good model for Weight Training? Is this program fluff? Are those pictures really 12 week transformations?

Im a bit skeptical to change my current routine and get involved with one that promises so much in so little time. I was hoping someone with experience with this plan could either enlighten me or confirm my suspicions.

As always, thanks for your help.

I alomost forgot my second part of the question.

I know supplements can help, but I am also in train of thought that your nutrition should be a sufficent source of proteins, aminos and vitamins to ensure and stimulate muscle growth, however, I am looking for a good/cheap supplier of whey protein and creatine (and perhaps flax or cod liver oil). Any suggestions?

If there are any objections or additions to these suppliments, I would LOVE to hear them also.

Hey there.

I have been doin Body for life (BFL) for 4 weeks now and ive lost 12 lbs of fat and gained 2 lbs of muscle. I have also never felt better in my life. I think this form of routine is AWESOME, especially if fat loss is your main goal. As far as those transformations, who knows? Those people coulda been taking hydroxycut or something like that to also accelerate their fat loss.

I do not take ANY supplements and am very firm on that point. You can eat enough protein to suffice your daily requirements. Its tough but you can do it. I do it every day. And beleive me, you are pretty full most of the day too when trying to eat right.

My friend got me hooked onto this. He did the diet perfectly for 3 months and he lost 31 lbs of fat and gained 8 lbs of muscle. NOt too shabby at all. So draw your own conclusions, but it is very worthwhile in my opinion.

Now if you just wnat to put muscle on, I would choose something else.

I got started on Body for life. I lost some weight and gained muscle, but nothing like the photos. I think firehawk is right, they had been taking hydroxycut or something. It was good for me because it gave me a routine and got me into the gym. I have been working out for about 2 years now.

This is a good cutting program. The average person will lose weight on it because it provides a caloric deficit, but you're unlikely to gain huge amounts of muscle (the weightlifting portion of it isn't that good, though the cardio is). I know one of the runner ups from a couple years back. He was a powerlifter in high school who let himself get out of shape (and since the contest has gotten out of shape again), rather than just an average Joe lifting for the first time.

Most online stores are good to buy supplements from, assuming you're in the US. Check out where they're located, as ones closer to you will ship faster. I have no objections to any of those supplements.

I agree with Shane.

Im doing the BFL diet but in reality, if i wanted to go for pure muscle building, i would not be doing this program. But since my goal is primarily fat loss, while secondarily trying to add some muscle, BFL is perfect.
