Hi all!! I'm new here and have'nt got my fitness plan yet so I just thought I'd ask a couple questions. I currently do body weight exercises (pushups, squats, crunches, planks, leg raises, etc.) 3-4 days a week. I also walk or run 3 days a week. So far I have lost about 20 lbs in just over 2 months. I'm excited about this and was just wondering about how I should change this up to avoid any plateaus. I eat pretty clean with the occasional cheat day thrown in, so I think diet is okay so far. Want to drop another 20-30 lbs as soon as possible. Trying to get back into the military (reserves this time, though) after quite a while in the civilian world. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This web site is AWESOMW!! I'm glad I found it. Thanks in advance.

I was back in the states for the last couple weeks and didn't have access to the fitness center on base. So I resorted to what you were doing. I didn't gain anything and was abole to resume my workout today with minimal adjustment.

One thing you could do is mix the things up. For example, one day I did max reps or alternated sets of 2-3 different exercises (dips-lunges-squats or crunches-push-ups). Do all upper body. Speed up, slow down. Mix them with your run. Use your imagination. I ran 15-20 min intervals and broke it up with BW ex's.

I was pleasantly surprised with the results especially considering we ate out a lot more that I would have like.

Good luck with the reserve thing. Go Air Force!

i;d suggest also doing some incline pushups. Put your feet on a higher surface (coach, table, chair, etc.) and your hands on the ground to do your pushups.
