i was touring around hawaii today, and the tour guide was giving us a history lesson about king kamehameha, and how in order to unite all the islands, his advisor told him he had to lift this special rock. according to history he did, but the rock weighs like 2000 pounds. i was trying to explain to the tour guide how this was impossible, especially after seeing what the rock looked like, but he didn't want to hear it.
so ya, the first hawaiian king cheated!

perhaps it's like lifting one end of a car. A lot of weight but it's definitely not the car's total weight.
plus i wouldnt really take a legend or some mythology too seriously.....lol

=) it was only like 200 years ago. that's what i was tryin to tell the tour guide.. that MAYBE he could lift one side of it, but he insisted that the whole rock was lifted. i just thought it was funny since a lot of the hawaiian prophecies are based around someone lifting that rock. then again, the guy thought capt. cook was an immortal god, and tried (and succeeded) in killing him anyhow.
