way to go andrew. its good to see your hard work is paying off.
one thing i might offer though, is I know you were saying you were having problems with your squat not to long ago. If you keep a log, look over it and find out what you did differently that may have helped to bring up your lifts. -------------- Your two most important minerals: Iron and Chalk. Congrats Andrew, that has to feel great. What are

Load up the bar with 90-135% of your max, depending on your experiance with them and your upcoming attempt. get set underneath, just like you would normally. Unrack the weight, step back, and position your feet just like you would for a normal squat. Basically get into pre-squat position. hold for 5-20 seconds, and then return the bar to the rack. It conditions your body to get used to better supporting heavy weight. -------------- Your two most important minerals: Iron and Chalk. I did it in a rack, with a 45 degree negative. then let the bars catch it. Namly lowering it with my hams and trying to hold it a few sec at 45.....usually not long, but it does help in getting rid of the "felling heavy' aspect of squating......cause I did this with 555 and 495 didn't feel all that heavy.-------------- Friends don't let friends squat high... That's pretty cool. Guess ya learn somethin new every day. I've been thinkin about something similar lately. Like I might start doing rack lockouts with my squats or just doing quarter squats to get me used to the weight and to strengthen that top portion of the lift. I dunno I think it would help the jumpin too because I like to have minimal knee bend so I can get in the air quicker when I play bball. I also saw an exercise called 50-rep rhythym squats on DeFranco's Training. Sorry I'm gettin way off subject here, I've just really been gettin into the different kinds of squats lately. -------------- I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi "Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it.
