Just when i figure i have this sorted i learn something new and get rather confused.
I am regaining definition whilst ridding the excess fat on my midsection.
From what i hear that is impossible??? Or is it only impossible to do so if u are looking to make MASSIVE increases in bulk?
Should regain definition then cut?
Much of it is diet i know, and my diet is very good:
2000-2200 calories
180-230g+ Protein
36g Fats max
300g Carbs
Although i do eat alot of fruit in my whey shakes, I hear this will hinder my progress? True? I have had a lot of input around this and am just about getting my head around it, please comment.
Thanks

You have the right idea. Your thinking is correct. I would probably suggest if your main goal is shedding some bodyfat, (leaning out), I would continue that till you are asthetically happy. Then go to adding some quality lean mass.

SHHHH...I try not to say that. Just about the time I say this something new comes out and everything changes.
Otherwise this pretty cut and dry...they're called Bulk/Cut phases for a reason. Bulk is when you up your calories (albeit slowly and with clean foods), then when you reach a certain weight goal you can lower your calorie intake(slowly again). If you're not where you want to be then start the whole thing all over again. :dumbbell:

Thanks swarm, i find that i can do without that amount of carbs, so to add some "good" fat would be helpful, i.e. peanuts, seeds etc. Excellent ;)
I'll keep you guys posted, and when i'm back where i wanna be asthetically, i'll post some pictures of the progress.

I wouldn't be quite so worried about fat intake, and maybe considering dropping some of the carbs to allow yourself up to 50-60g of poly/mono unsaturated fat. It would give you a better variety of foods to choose from (like antioxidant rich peanuts), and still allow you to trim up your abs.
I think you're on the right track though, definitely. Good luck and keep us posted!
