How do you tone down some overly muscular, bulky thighs? I have been doing a lot of explosive movements and work outs because I am in the martial arts and we do a lot of explosive leg work--and since summer is coming rapidly and shorts-season is approaching, how do I make my muscles more lengthy and long, as opposed to short and bulky? Do you suggest long, moderate cardio sessions? Short, high intensity? thank you for your suggestions. (And if it helps, I am 5'6" and weigh 140 lbs.)

I would suggest trying some pilates or yoga, help to stretch out the muscles... anyone else have any thoughts??

I would try wwww.beachbody.com, the slim-in-six series. i use it and it has toned and lengthened some of my muscles. It is rather expensive, though.

Hi there
Slow endurance training and lots of stretching is the very best way to slim down too musuclar legs.
Good luck!

Wow
I have the exact same stats as you, and also am involved in martial arts! What kind do you do, and at what level? I also have a problem with bulky thighs. I say stretch a lot, do some pilates, and lots of cardio. Walking is great.
