hello, I'm about to start week 5 of the mass program and i was just wondering if anyone would have a suggestion as to which bar i should use for the tricep cable pushdown. this will be the follow up exercise to the close grip presses. Thanks a lot

You can use the long lat pull down bar with your hands close, or you can use a short bar.

I would reccomend using a single hand bar. If you use an actual bar then your dominant arm will out lift your nondominant arm and you will have different arm sizes. I would do single arm press downs. In my experience they are much more effective as well.

The best one to use IMO is /\ .....I found it's best for muscle and strength gains( ie mass)...attach it to the pull down station.....however focus on pushing with both arms equally....

great, thanks a lot guys. I just wasn't sure if there was a benefit to using the bent bar instead of a straight bar

Vary between them...the rope is also great. Depending on your hand position it will hit your tris from a slightly different angle. You can use a reverse grip as well (palms up)
