i dont have the machine for the seated calf raises.if there are any other exercises that target the muscles in a similar way.can you tell me what they are or explain them for me(remember i am a beginner).the reason we dont have the machine is because we live on a island in the bahamas and we dont have a gym so me and my friends got all are home equipment and put them in a building and with the low resources, this site has became very useful and i know yall users can help us much. i will put a photo up soon.thank you.

If you go to ft Exercise Resources/Muscle Targeting/Calves, it gives you a list of exercises that you could use instead. It was also suggested in a previous post that you can put a bar across your legs while in a seated position and have a block under your feet and voila! the McGuyver calf raise technique! =)

I use the stairs for my calf raises with your body weight as the resistance stand on a step with it only supporting from the ball of your foot to the toes let your heel drop as far as you can than go to tip toes. try 4 sets of 15 to start with you sould feel it pretty good
