My husband has told me that for Christmas this year, he is going to get me new cookware. He wants top of the line, stainless steel, professional grade cookware, and doesn't really care what it costs(he has never bought me a Christmas present before.)

I would love stainless steel, and something of a "higher" quality than what I have, but I do consider price an option. Does anyone have tried and true brands they love, or know of brands for me to research so I can tell him what I would like?? TIA!!!

Maybe this is pregnancy brain, but I can't figure out how to navigate that website. I see no options for looking at cookware at all. :(

I didn't either cristal...I did see something where if you spent 400$ you get something...personally...but I am by no means a chef...I like the wolfgang puck stuff they sell at sam's...it's pretty and shiney...dureable nothing sticks to it...just be sure to hand wash...I think my set was somewhere around 200$...the usual stuff...a skillet a sauce pan(one big one little)and a bigger pot...yeah..I'm a real chef can't ya tell...I think they're great...nice and heavy...I've got a bigger skillet and another big sauce pan seperately..I LOVE my knife set...you can hear a shing when you take them out of the block they're so sharp...anyhow...thats what I like...you're not gonna have to leave little paul at the register when you leave either!!!:)

Lol....I'll have to look at Wolfgangs stuff and see what he's got in sets. Ty wants to get me Allclad, but I can't choke down $700 for cookware.

I have a set of Kirkland from Costco and it's really heavy duty. As with most Kirkland products, it is really nice quality. Not sure the cost...but a good deal for sure.

Well, I got onto Macy's website, and they have a really nice Calphalon set that Ty and I are going to go look at tonight. It's an 8 piece set, that comes with a bonus aspargus/veggie steamer. Eeeee I'm excited!

My mom has some, and she loves it because you don't use any Pam on it or anything, and stuff still pops right out. I however, couldn't get it into the oven without spilling because it's so wobbley, and since I'm scared of getting burned, I just stick with my solid non-wobble items.

KC, what are you no good with in baking?? Maybe I could give you some pointers?? I've been in charge of desserts for Christmas and Thanksgiving the past 4 years. :)

Oh....about everything...I can bake a great cake...thats about it...cookies...ALWAYS flat!!!!I tend to overcook things...I'm terrified of anything under cooked so I overcompinsate...I would like to do baked goods along with my gifts...but my stuff is so bad..I'm to embarrased to give it out...what about a simple fudge recipe that I can put in a pretty tin...do you have a simple recipe for that???

Lagostina has some great stuff. And that chef Emeral has a line also. And the Silicone cook ware is great. I have loaf form, tube cake form, and muffin forms, the stuff just falls out of them with no prying scraping or breaking.

Now if there is one thing I do better than strength training, its cook... I already have my ideal kitchen planned out for when I get out of grad school.

The other day I was looking at frying pans with a friend of mine... You can only imagine the looks someone in a house of pain shirt gets while looking at cookwear.

I think that's sexy wrestler. A man who can cook, and look good while cookin. What more could a woman ask for?

i personally use allclad stainless, 14 piece set will run about 1300, i also use Lara copper cookware, very nice stuff, looks too nice to cook with, 10 piece will run around 800-900....

We decided to wait on the cookware until we can really truly afford for Ty to get me what he wants, which is the allclad set. I do however, get a strainer for Christmas, and I am STOKED about not having to drain pasta using the lid of the pot anymore. Woo Hoo!!

Thats funny....you know I think i will ask for an electric can opener...i remember being so disappointed when we first got married that I had to use the hand held...I've been able to afford one easily for years...but never got one...so that would be fun...funny how we forget about the little things that make life easier...

I've had to ask Tyler to drain pasta for me for years because it's very difficult for me to hold the pot over the sink with the lid to drain it. I'm short, and that pot is heavy!! So, I'm getting a strainer, and it will solve all my problems!!
