:) Hello all!
I have been dieting or have changed my eating habits to a healthier life style. I do watch my calories I have been trying to keep it between about 1200 to 1500 calories a day. I do Indulge when I feel the need to treat my self but for the most part I have been very good. My eating habits are usually
breakfast 2 eggs with 3 slices of turkey bacon or bowl of bran cereal w/ milk
Lunch: turkey wrap with lettuce tomato light mayo or mustard
Dinner: baked chicken or fish green beans
i dont really snack and really have to make my self eat all three meals it is very hard . I try to never miss breakfast no matter what I do. I rarely drink anything except water. i ws addicted to juices and sodas for so long I am enjoying water not to say I will not have a juice from time to time but I rarely waist calories in beverages. I excercise about 4 times a week the tread mill, walk or light jog in the nieghborhood, light weights and I sometimes hit the gym. I am losing about 1 pound a week. last week I lost 3 but on average It is a consistant 1 pound. Is there any thing I can do to pick it up to 2 pounds a week or even 3? The second question is should I up my caloric intake? I am terrified of slowing my metabolism down. true some days I will go over my caloric intake and just enjoy eating (my indulge days) I watch what I eat for the rest of the week. I am 5'2 181 pounds and have lost 25 pounds since I started 4 months ago. HEEELLLlPPPPP any tips would be GREAT!

I would add a couple of snacks - a handfull of almonds, cheese, celery sticks - the eating every 3 hours seems to be getting alot of results.

A pound a week isn't bad. Anything between 1-2 is good, shoot for that, not 3. Like Reddy said, eating every 3 hours will actiually speed up your metabolism and if you slowly bump your calorie intake up to around 1600 or 1700 you'll start seeing the results your looking for. Looks like you could stand to introduce some healthy fats. Go to the specific diet and nutrition forum and read and start eating from the "grocery list for healthy eating". Try a ratio of 50/20/30(P/C/F). Congratulations on the 25lbs. in 4 months. That's a healthy loss on average, roughly 1 1/2lbs. a week.
