Hey All,
I would really appreciate your advice/comments on the following information which I have gathered from this website. I know there may be no exact right or wrong answers...but am I along the right lines?

1. According to my bodyweight (168 lbs) and activity level (low-moderate office job) my maintenance calorie level is 2500. Therefore:
- If I want to cut, I drop the daily calorie intake to 2000 (to loose 1lb per week).

- When I want to bulk (i.e. now) I increase the daily calorie intake to 2850 (to gain 1lb of muscle per month, hopefully ;-)

2. My diet should consist of 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat. Based on 2850 calories per day for bulking this gives me 1140 calories from carbs/protein, and 570 calories from fat. This = 285 grams of carbs/protein, and 63 grams of fat.

Many thanks in advance for your time, I think I’m getting there slowly.

Regards,
Jez.
