Hi. I want to know if I should eat all they say to eat. they say I should eat 2198 calories, 330 carbs, 165 protein, and 27 fats. I am eating 1474 calories, 162 carbs, 83 protein, and 32 fats. I am 15 and weigh 165lb and am about 5'. can anybody help?

Sounds like the right amount of calories to me. Maybe 100-200 less at most....

Wow I thought the same thing!! I always try to have like tops 1500 calories to loose weight this told me to have 2744 cal... what in the worls?? I get you have to feed your machine but that just seems like I would gain more if I eate anymore food than I do>> Help

If you don't eat enough, you are causing more damage to your metabolism. Your body will think you are starving it, and go into "starvation mode" and hold onto as many calories as it can and store them as fat.

It takes time - but if you slowly increase the amount of calories that you are taking in, you will increase your metabolism, which in turn will burn more bodyfat.

It does not happen overnight though....

There is more to the diet than just calories. Pay attention to when you eat, how often, and what kind of carbs protins and fats you are taking in. Rememer that those numbers are generic and a place to start. keep track of your weight, composition and adjust as necessary.

Keep in mind that at 15 your body is not done developing, and for you to restrict your diet improperly could cause long term problems for you. Consult a professional, your pediatrician, and get involved with someone that can help monitor your status.
