Does anyone know what the average is for calories burned by life in general? The everyday things we do and digesting our foods and such..

Living and breathing costs energy: all your organs & the brain need to be fed. Even if someone was confined to a bed 24hrs a day, maintaining that body would still require energy.

Yes, but that was not asked.....this was in reply to the question, what is burned by life in general. This implied to me no workout, just to live/be a slug. :)

Wow! Really amazeing. (1353 for me) Thanks for the info guys. It was something I was just wondering about. The amount of info and knowledge on this site continues to amaze me. Convinced that it was the best investment I have made in a long time.
