I have very big calves (not fat, but more muscular)...It is probably more genetic than anything...Anyway, I have been reading up on how to slim calves...I do stretches, which is too soon to tell if it works...

I heard that if you run for long periods of time, the calves will get smaller...Anyone have any info on that, like how long one would have to run and how fast???

I am up for any advice on slimming these damn ugly calves! I just feel hopeless and yucky until I can slim them down.

I believe running will help tone them. My leg workout is my hardest because my legs are heavily muscled, since I've been hiking and running at a semi strenious pace for distance (1-4 miles) the fat has receded and the muscle appears and is toned. As far as speed each person is different and your body will let you know when you are doing the work.

Will doing the stepper make my calves muscles bigger?? B/c I absolutely love the damn thing and can do it literally for about 45 minutes without wanting to shoot myself (as opposed to running)...
