Can seated twists and related exercises be done on a daily basis, or are these just like any other movement? I mean, ft does say to do abs 3 times a week, while most other exercises are no more than once a week, so there must be something unique about abs exercises...right? I don't know. I just want to lose this nasty mid-section as soon as possible! :0)

For years, I've heard trainers (and magazines) say you can train abs every day. Abs are muscles and react the same as other muscles. If I'm wanting to put on overall size, I'll train abs 2 or 3 times a week. If I'm trimming down, I'll treat them like every other muscle group.

If you want to loose "this nasty mid section" then it's all a question about body fat I'm afraid....... Jump on the tread mill and eat your daily egg whites and brocoli with a big smile!!!! (o;

Abs are as any other muscle. The media wants you to buy their ab machines. There is nothing special about abs. Train them as any other muscle, no more than twice a week. And the other main factor that they so easily forget to tell you, is diet. YOu can work abs from now till kingdom come, and if you don't change your diet, they will NEVER show. You may even look fatter if you build ab muscles without diet change, they will just push the fat out even further. Do as Philia2 says...she is absolutely correct.
