I'm sorry, I read this probably too late, but I hope you all had a wonderful day! I haven't visited Canada since a child, but we lived just four hours south of there all my life until recently - it is beautiful country and chillin'!

Ok, so I drove up to Vancouver yesterday after hearing all these stories about fireworks and crap. Nothing. No Fireworks. What the hell kind of holiday is that?

Hahaha. Now *that* is funny. I understand waiting until tonight (2nd) since it's friday - but on the 4th? That's weird.
Vancouver stopped doing it because they have some music festival of light thingy going on during the end of july or something like that. I couldn't imagine. I was so excited to see fireworks. *sigh*

Last Night here in Montreal (at the port) we had at least 250,000 people turn out.
Talking about fireworks....they lasted for 30 min.
Next time, you will just have to come up to Montreal where the real action is.

Vancouver police just hate gatherings. We have a tendency to have mini riots when we all get together.

Ahhh...just as well, I was in bed before it got dark anyway. I'm such a morning girl.
I'm thinking about moving to Vancouver - you know, if Bush gets elected as the president again. Or should I say actually, this time.
