I have have lots of weight to lose. I have been dieting and exercising for 6 weeks now and lost a total of 23 pounds according to 3 different scales. The problem is that I don't see where I am losing it. I look the same and my clothes fit the same. This can be very discourging. I have worked really hard these last 6 weeks, but now I can see how I have given up in the past. I won't be doing that this time, but I just wanted to know about other places that the weight can be leaving that I am not aware of.

you can take measurements of hips, thighs, waist, arms, and bust. one if not all of these measurements will show a change after 23 lbs of loss. Unless you have to steel plates in your pockets you aren't telling us about. :)
Be patient, and you will see results in clothes size shortly. good luck.

I'm sure that you look much better after 23lbs loss, even if you can't see it. When I'm cutting for a fight, I never notice changes in appearance (only belt sizes), but a lot of people make comments (usually saying I looked sucked down).
I would recommend measurements and before/after photos.
Congratulations on an awesome achievement.

yea, i lost a lot of weight and while i did notice a little bit of change in my look, i feel like i am still a little overweight but i am told i look "skinny" or "gaunt". just let the measurements do the talking... and 23lbs is great! keep up the good work.
