What is the difference between carbs and complex carbs and how do you know what kind you are eating?

For a simple explanation, Simple carbs are one, two, or at most three units of sugar linked together in single molecules. Complex carbs are hundreds or thousands of sugar molecules linked together in single molecules. The more fiber, the more complex.

Everytime I hear the term "complex carb," I think of a little cartoon version of a sugar molecule saying "I'm no good; no body likes me; I'm not worth anything..."
Ergo, the term, Complex... *ahem*

Oh well, I tried.... :surprised:
