I understand that eating carbs for breakfast is not the best for someone who is tring to lose weight. But either a combination of carbs and proteins or proteins.
I used to eat Oatmeal for breakfast, sometimes with fruit sometimes without. And yes, I did find that it would spike my blood sugar, then by 10:00am I needed a nap.
So i want to change that. I am on the road alot for business. Does anyone have any good ideas for breakfast? If you can, please email me at spachick2000@yahoo.com.

A lot of people here eat oats for breakfast. It was probably the fruit that was doing it. Or if you added a lot of sugar. Eggwhites are another choice. I'm not a breakfast person so it was hard for me to find a little something that wouldn't make me gag. BB1ft posted an idea here that I have been using. I mix 1/4c dry oats, 1/4c cottage cheese, 1/2c egg whites, a little sweetner and cinnamon in a bowl and then cook it like a pancake. I mix mine up the night before so the oats are well soaked. I top mine with a little Brummel&Brown and SugarFree Fruit Spread or fresh fruit. 17carbs, 185cals, 21pro and 2.25fat. Sometimes I throw in a half scoop of protein powder, too.
