How many of you do cardio more than 3x per week? To be honest, I hate cardio. I can lift all day but hate cardio but I am trying to cut my body fat so I guess it needs to be done. Is 3x a week enough or not enough? Just curious. I play basketball one day a week for like 2 hours or so and the other 2 days I run on the treadmill or ride a stationary bike for about 30 minutes. Do you think this is enough. I know that I also have to watch what I eat, and I do watch it go into my mouth! lol. Seriously though, I know that I have to do that too, but was wondering if cardio 3x a week is enough. Thanks!!!!

3x per week should be enough for most...especially if they weight train and have adopted a good diet. If anything, you can always increase your intensity. So, instead of treadmill or bike for 30 minutes, do it for 45-60 and progressively increasing your pace.

Well if you follow a strict diet you don't really need more cardio that 3 times 30 mins weekly. The less calories will make you loose weight and the amount of cardio is enough to strengthen your heart.

If you really hate cardio why not do less but a lot more intensive? Work HIIT. It'll only take you 20-25 mins, it's funnier than long steady cardio and it'll boost your metabolism so you'll burn more total calories for the rest of your day.

It's true that HIIT is hard, but geeeez one feels soooooo good afterwards.......

I do a lot of cardio. I am getting used to it and don't mind. I usually run 45-60 3x per week and do the bike or another machinie 2-3 days a week at the fat burning level. If you do too much cardio, you may be losing muscle weight as well as fat weight.
