I work overnights at a group home so I don't get a chance to do my cardio during the mornings any more, is it better to do it after my work out or on opposing days of working with the weights?

Well yes it's better to do it than not at all!!
You can do 20-30 mins after weight training or yes as you say yourself, on other days.

I just read in my Men's Fitness mag that working weights one day and cardio the next is the most efficient method of calorie burn and will burn the most fat. There are pros and cons to doing cardio first thing in the morning or mid day, etc.. I do my cardio and lifting mid day, alternating days. I'm not a "get-up first thing in the morning" kinda guy to do PT.
Good luck. DP

From what I've read, working out AFTER is better in the sense you haven't robbed your muscles of energy when lifting weights. It also depends what you worked out too, i.e., legs for example. I personally don't go out and run or bike if I just worked my legs.
Again, the alternating program gives the best calorie burn by giving one a some type of workout each day. Now if you're doing both cardio and weight training everyday, then that will burn more. I don't personally do that because I see a sacrifice in gaining size if I do a cardio each day.

somewhere in this web site it with tell you that if you workout for more than 1hr(give or take a few min.) you will not gain muscle, but if you want to lose size you can do the cardio right after. but then again do what your comfy with.

Personally I think that's a little bit too long (if I haven't taken a protein shake just before. Then no prob) I would only do 20-30 mins or on another time/day.
