cardio machine? cellulite and weight

i am thinking of investing in another piece of cardio equiptment. what is the best for burning fat and toning legs and thighs on women? an excercise bike? or elliptical machine? or any other recommendations?
I am 39 and currently do cardio 4xweek on either a gazelle,tae bo,slide or fast walk. and i use a total gym 3x week for strength training. I have been working out for years like this but it does not help at all with helping me lose weight. i am not overweight, but at the high end of the recommended weight for my height and frame. I also eat very healthy mostly but yet the fat and cellulite keeps on accumilating on my thighs and i have to starve myself to lose any weight. a
can anyone offer any suggestions to me of how to rectify this problem? thanks Karen

Hey Dobey - part of the problem is age and your being female. :) If you've browsed the boards much at all you'll see that the standard (but accurate) answer is diet. You said you have to starve yourself to lose weight which is exactly opposite to what you really want to do. When you go on that much of a calory deficit, you're storing virtually everything you eat (think fat) and your metabolism is slowing down to zilch. You said you eat healthy mostly but you probably need to take a closer look at that.
