Cardio Routine

I have a 3 day weight routine. Is it ok to do cardio on my off days? I do not want to lose the muscle mass i built the day before? What is my best option?

That's what im doing! 3 days weights & 2 days cardio. But pre workout (protein shake) post workout (protein shake& carbs) noonish (protein: shake OR meat) dinner (meat) 30 min before bed (protein shake)
Yes I go over my protein sometimes, but it sure works when your pumping the weights! Im not saying PROTEIN is all i take in - heck NO! I eat good carbs & veggies & fruit too.
Im female 29 and just starting it the gym! Gotta hit that 1600 calories a day :] DO NOT do more then 45 min on ANY cardio machine. The best #'s to hit is 25 - 45 min.... IF YOU GO PAST your 45 min.. you are eatting away at the muscle! So cardio days get in get out! :laugh:
