Hi, I'm attempting to put on muscle mass, but I do have some fat I'd like to work on. Is it acceptable to do just cardio on my rest days without interfering with putting on muscle? I work out 5 days a week without cardio except on my rest days.
I also had a question about supplements, I've been using supplements for a few months now and I was wondering if you should ever take a break from them. Nothing serious, creatine, glutamine, bcaa's.
Thanks!

the dardio will help u out cause even if u loose weight and some fat when your lean you look a little bigger without shirts cause the small waist makes the rest of u look more massive

if you train 5 days a week that leaves 2 rest days each week...to do cardio on these 2 days only doesn't sound like much...I know guys who do cardio everyday but that doesn't sound great either. I think 3 days a week should be just fine..I found that the intensity of cardio is much more important than the frequency by the way. And variation is also equally important. Don't just use the treadmill try the bike or something else for a change every now and then (every 2 months for example)

Thanks guys, I was mainly wondering on the effect cardio would have on putting on mass, which is my main goal.
The bike is usually what I use, but I do like to run sometimes.
Thanks agian.

I know what you mean I play a lot of basketball at the gym for a warm up ...but most of the times I end up playin` too much ... oh well, as long I enjoy it :)

i usually do cardio for 15 min every day of workout (exept for legs day)...I work out 5 days a week, so the other 2 days I rest on 1 and do cardio for 45 min & alot of stretching on the other. Amr

Thats an idea, 15 min except on legs day. I know I'd be wasted doing cardio on a leg day 8)
Thanks guys

I cycle my supplements, especially creatine. Two months on and one month off, i think your body needs a break every now and then. As for the cardio, do about 10 min. to warm up and ten min. to cool down on your workout days, but as far as your off days rest. If you seriously want to pack on size, rest will make you grow, cardio will burn calories that your body needs to add muscular size. It does make that much differance.
