I have about an hour or two every day of the week to workout. I usually do 10-15 cardio to get loosened up a little, then lift weights for around an hour to an hour and a half, then do cardio when I am done. I have been reading that this isn't the best thing to do because of catabolism i think. Would it be better to workout every other day and do cardio every other day or combine them both almost everyday? I don't workout 7 days a week, but about 4-5 usually. Thank you for your help. Also if anyone has any suggestions on what kind of cardio works best.

It is suggested to do cardio on an off weight day... if you can't do that, separate the two by about six hours...

When it comes to a type of cardio, I prefer HIIT...

It all depends on your goals, if fat loss is your goal I would do the cardio immediately after the weights with maybe half a protein shake in between, just to give your body some nutrients.
If mass muscle gaining is your goal I would seperate by at least six hours(seems to be the general consensus) or on off days.
Doing cardio after weights is not going to eat all of your muscle away. I believe people over state this a little. While it may inhibit your bodies ability to re-generate etc, It wont miraclously eat your muscle away.

ehy don't you try to separate your training if you have the time and dedicartion.
go in the morning to do some cardio and in the evening you workout.
