hi, I was just wondering what the difference is between the two different types of protein, and if they're beneficial at different times, if so, why?

Whey is best for immedite post workout.

Casein is a good all round protein.

Casein is a slow digesting protein, it actually gels in the stomach on digestion, thus giving a much more slow release of amino acids into the bloodstream. Extremely helpful at night.

Whey concentrate and isolate are super fast absorbing, great for immediately post workout, but not for any other time alone.

Speaking of Casein Protein, can you recommend me some brands? I've seen quite a few options for whey here in Mexico but still none for casein.

Thanks!

Milk, cottage cheese...you don't need powder for this.

My casein powder is about the only sweet treat in my life.I confess, I have a casein monkey on my back. I'm hooked.
