Cellulite is just brown adipose tissue. It results from lack of circultion. With proper diet, cardio, and weight training you will kiss cellulite bye-bye. Your body fat has to get down to 16-18% before cellulite will vanish.

Probably lower than that, but that's individually.
Massage and cream (with caffein) can help wonders as well.

Doesn't your body fat have to be at least 20% in order for a female to be fertile?
I don't think cellulite ever goes away. Marathon runners among other very fit people have cellulite.

OK, I looked it up and found that a minimum of 17% body fat is required for a female to be fertile. If you are not fertile, then your hormones are all messed up and your body isn't functioning the way it should.

Now that's a new one for me, never heard about that. Could you please tell me where I can read more about that?

I thought it was 12% for most women to maintain menstrual cycles.
Personally my bf has been around 15/16% and I still had cellulite. I would rather live w/ my cellulite than try to maintain bf below 15%.

Hi Philia, I did a quick search on pubmed but nothing specific came up (must mess with keywords) but there are lots of links from google if you search ovulation and percent body fat. I know about this because I'm recovering from bulimia and have read a lot about eating disorders and low body fat and fertility come up a lot in those readings. Also remember that if you have your period (should have every 28-30 days with the first day of your period being day 1), it doesn't mean that you ovulated. Ovulation is a sign of balanced hormones and fertility. Here are some links:
