yes please. feel free. just make sure that the person who does change your tongue ring has full uhm battle gear, a mask and some really heavy duty toxic-proof tongs.
Oh and it is advisable that while he/she does change your tongue ring, that you not breathe through your mouth excessively. -------------- The best victories are won not by adversity and brute force. Learn the enemy and overcome it. Now for the love of god...put the donut...DOWN!!! -cupcake- |

froggiegirl... it has now been about a month.
You can change your tongue ring out, but i would stick with surgical stainless steel until 6-8 weeks after the initial piercing. before six weeks is up, stay away from acryllic because even though your tongue may look like its fully healed, its not 100% yet, and acryllic is very pourous... If you have any questions i would actually contact your piercer for further clarification...they know best. |

ya know. mine didn't even hurt. I could feel it going through my tongue, but I didn't feel any pain. It was so weird. But of course, I immediately applied ice on it so it wouldn't swell that much. after a week, I was eating normally . I think I've a high tolerance for pain :)
I freak people out when they do find out that I have a tongue ring. They don't expect it. Carivan......Chris Rock had an interesting theory on why men and women get their tongues pierced, but I don't want to get my post deleted.-------------- OSU Law Rugby....specializing in personal injury and pain & suffering. | |

chris rock though only refers to fellatio though...never once does he mention cunnilingus.
I didn't get my tongue pierced for anyone else. There is no way in hell i woulda done it...i did it simply because i wanted it. But yeah, many people get it done for the other reason. I did mine kinda out of that rebellious teenager spirit. |

man, I hate being away for days. makes me miss things, I ought not to be missing lol.
don't worry about your daughters, carivan, I'm sure they're all sweet and stuff. Chris rock was slightly right when he said that. Some people do get it specifically for that reason, but mine is different. I got it five years ago to make sure I don't fit into the nice little role that my family places on me. "nice little obedient and responsible cupcake" kinda like what tex said :P Charlie, do you mean the nose ring according to the theories of chris rock? Uhm, I wouldn't want to go into that train of thought, if I were you  -------------- There is no pain. There will BE no pain. Now for the love of god...put the donut...DOWN!!! -cupcake- |

LOL carivan! that sounds sooo painful though :(
it sounds icky but I have a question...it's a valid one, I swear. when a person who has a nose piercing, when he's sick and blows his nose..does it..you know, spill where it shouldn't spill? this is one of my main considerations why i didn't get a nose piercing :surprised: -------------- There is no pain. LOL. I told you it was icky! but hey, can't one wonder? ...wonderment is where the world of forms began... okay so maybe it was inconceivable in the time of plato and socrates, but one has to ask
in any case...I have succeeded in grossing charlie out, so for today, I am one happy cupcake! welcome to ft, big_goof! -------------- There is no pain. There will BE no pain. Now for the love of god...put the donut...DOWN!!! -cupcake- |

Thanks for the insight cupcake. So icky is desirable...hmmmm.So the next time I want frisky with the wife I'll have to remember to woo her with tales of nose rings and colds.
