Good choice, it's cheap, has no added sugar, it's lean and the can looks like snuff in your back pocket. Your buds will think you're a baseball player. Be careful where you put the can opener though.

I've caught a few tuna. Believe me I was the coolest fisherman on the dock those days. Fighting tuna aint for pussies.
Seriously, don't blow good money on gimmicky stuff. Tuna is good solid protein.

There are many recipes for bars you can do yourself. Simple ingredients, peanut butter, oats, some cheap protein powder, even no bake stuff. Very tasty too.
Here is one I have done before, it requires baking, but very short time and the yield will beat the hell out of buying bars, not to mention you know what the hell is in it!
3 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups dried milk
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup lite syrup
2 scoops protein powder
2 large egg whites or 1 egg
11/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup raisins or dried fruit and chopped
Line cookie sheet with waxed paper and preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Spread onto sheet, press cutting lines in to make 10 pieces. Bake 15 minutes untill golden brown, cut apart, then cool and wrap. Store airtight at room temperature for up to 2 weeks

Tuna is definitely good for protein plus a good source of omega-3. And you can by the light chunk in water which is what i buy and it's 125 calories per can and it's all protein.
As for powders, I don't know if you're trying to tone or bulk, but for toning at least I've found that Smoothie King's Gladiator powder is my #1 choice. 45 grams of whey protein, 1 gram of carbs, and no fat per serving, and of course it's full of amino acids and vitamins. It's $33 per a container (20 servings) but when you remember that one smootie there of the same stuff is like $5, you're saving $67! Plus more convinient and you can control what you mix in if you want to do so.
