Hi, I just joined this website, and so far I really like what I see, except I am a bit intimidaded by the pre-dermined weight and reps for chest exercises. I have a rather weak chest and currently do 3 sets of 8 at 110lbs. Are the weights and reps suggestions or should I really attempt these.

The routine under my exercise program:

Muscle Group or Location: chest Specific Exercise: Barbell Incline Bench Presses

1 12 12 repetitions 30 lbs
2 6 6 repetitions 135 lbs
3 5 5 repetitions 225 lbs
4 4 4 repetitions 315 lbs

I just am not sure that I could pull off 315 lbs four times. Should I attempt this anyway?

Thank you.

Welcome to the site Jon and enjoy the new lifestyle. I'm probably not telling you something you don't already know but keep the weights to a limit that you can safely do - even with a spotter. If 110 lbs is your current max, it might be ok to dream about 315 but I wouldn't try and lift it. :)

Welcome crzycz if your program came up with a predetermined weight, it must be wrong. The program will give you the number of reps for each set, however the weight section is usually empty so you can add the weight capable of handling. SO must have been a clinch when setting up the program. Re enter the weight you can handle.

I have seen a lot of people say here that weight amounts are already filled in on the exercise routines. I don't think this is the way it is supposed to be. Maybe mgmt should have a look.

Thank you for the response....yes, I really did think that this was a bot high ... hard to go from 110 to 315. :-)

Thank you.

Ok, I know where the glitch was...I think.. while I was signing up for programs I selected a special chest program. This is probably incompatible with my beginers level lifter status. So when I went back...it wasnt even an option and so when I updated my profile all the reps and weight slots were empty for me to fill. :-)

Thank you.

Hi everyone I too am new to the program and looking at my exercise program it only shows a weight amount for my leg exercises. Not for any upper body. So now my question is it that typical?
