I've been having pain in my chest around the sternum, maybe at the zyphoid area but it's hard to tell because it isn't tender w/ pressure, just when I move a certain way - like when I try to sweep the floor. It was pretty sore Sunday; has improved but is still hanging around and bugging me. Oddly enough it started after my leg day (squats, lunges, hamstring curls, seated calf machine). Any idea what could cause this? Maybe overextend my chest while holding the bar? Anything? I'm stumped.

If I am understanding the localised area of the pain it soubds like it may be some form of abdominal strain. Of course this is just a wild guess but I would be carefull & be sure to get plenty of rest. Of course if it persists you should definately see a doctor, core injuries are nothing to mess with.

Today and tomorrow are rest days for me; usually I do some running but today I skipped that and I guess I will tomorrow, too. It really isn't that bad today; I don't think it's an abdominal strain since its more up around the chest. Anyway I'll take the advice and get some rest; haven't been taking a lot of rest days lately and I'm starting to feel creaky all over which is a good sign that it's time to rest up. Or maybe it was turning thirty two weeks ago. LOL
