hey guys, im 6'2, 195, average body type. only thing big on me is thighs and calves (used to be in martial arts for years) im looking to gain a lot of muscle on my upper body. basically i do dumbbell flyes and machine bench press (not free weight bench), dumbbell bicep curls, as well as some back stuff and triceps, cardio etc etc. im seeing muscle gain in my biceps and just added 5 lbs to the dumbells but my chest isnt going too well is it normal for that to happen. i can only do limited weight on my chests, i do around 3 or 4 sets of 12-15 by the time i reach 3 i cant do all 12, i do it till failure. too many reps? too little? (for good muscle gain)
other then that, i cut down ALL junk food, fried, and basically anything bad. i take protein shakes all day long (45g shakes 3 times a day). i wanted to know if its too early to use creatine? or should i wait till i get some more definition? or not at all for that matter? thanks in advanced

If u just started working out, id recommend u wait a bit before u take creatine because ur going to be making some pretty easy gains as a beginner. Now as for the reps, i believe since u wanna gain, u should decrease the amount of reps and increase the weights. 3 sets of 8-12 is good. You last set should be heavy enough that u struggle to finish the 8th rep.

45g of protein shakes 3 times a day seems like ur right at the border. Check how much protein u get from your food. Keep a log of everything over at www.fitday.com Its a great site and can help out a lot. At 6'2, 195lb u should be eating well over 3000calories.
