I have been measuring chicken after it has been cooked but have been using the nutritional info that is on the package which I assume are the amts raw. Is there a difference in f/c/p in 4oz of raw chicken and 4oz of cooked chicken? If so, does anyone know the f/c/p breakdown of cooked chicken? I only cook it grilled, baked or broiled. Same question for ground beef. I use extra lean beef with 4.5g of fat, 0 carbs, and 25 g protein per 4 oz ( all info is from package ) Thanks

I am talking about boneless, skinless chicken breast.

Bb1fit suggested that you should use a pre-cooked weight, but that is too hard for me when I cook like 15 chicken breasts at a time. I would have to tag them or use a magic marker...lol. Plus I usually cut them all up and divide into 5-6oz pkgs. How can you do that without having to cook each portion separately? When cooking for the week, it is just easier to measure everything when it is already cooked. As for the difference in nutrition facts, I hope it isn't that much of a difference.

Very good site. The nutritional info is very specific and it should tell you what you need to know.

You know, at Sams Club, I have been buying the Canned Chicken. Like 5 for 10 Dollars. But Each can tells me exactly whats in it. 5 servings with a total of 75grams of Protine and only 300calories. It's great! I put rellish in it or fat free manonaise and eat it for lunch. Cooking chick still tastes better, but for a quick meal I know exactly what I am getting, nutrition-wise.
